Description of Job Purpose
The Service Coordinator will coordinate and provide service-enriched programs to the residents of Pirate’s Cove. The Service Coordinator will spend part of their time on-site and part of their time in the field meeting with other service providers and partners and connecting resources.
Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties and responsibilities will include resources and activities to ensure residents are matched and provided with the right services based on their individual needs. Primary job duties include:
- Support Services Plan – Carry out the provisions and activities in the support services plan.
- Needs of Residents – Be familiar with the needs of the residents by completing an initial assessment of need with each resident and followed by regular and consistent communication and reassessment.
- Knowledge of Services Offered – Be familiar with service providers in the area and knowledgeable about the services they provide. This will require continued communication to stay up-to-date on their services and programs.
- On-Site Assistance and Referral Services – Be available for a specified period of time each week to allow residents the opportunity to have on-site assistance to questions they may have and referral to other providers, if needed.
- Coordination of Services and Events – This position will carry out the provisions of the Support Services plan and will include identifying, planning and coordinating programs and events. Some of the events and programs will be for adults and others will be for children. Some will be group events and others will be one-on-one. The Service Coordinator will have frequent contact and communication with residents and service providers.
- Coordination with Property Management – The Service Coordinator will work closely with property management to carry out the events, programs and activities of the support services plans.
- Evaluation of Support Services Plan – The Service Coordinator will continually assess the needs of the residents, evaluate the services being provided and methods for delivery and identifying areas of underperformance, i.e. resident satisfaction, value of services offered, etc.). This evaluation will be provided annually to property management.
Qualifications
The Service Coordinator will possess the following skills, education, experience:
Communication Skills – Excellent written and verbal skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
Attention to Detail – Ability to pay close attention to detail and keep track of the smallest of details
Organizational Skills – Ability to successfully manage time and resources while multi-tasking
Record-Keeping Skills – Maintain detailed confidential records for evaluation purposes
Analytical Skills – Ability to analyze needs and form comprehensive solutions to situations
Customer Service Skills – Ability to take care of the resident’s needs by providing and delivering professional, helpful, high qualify service and assistance before, during, and after the customer’s requirements are met.
Preferred Experience – No industry related experience is required if the above skills are possessed.
Working Conditions
The Service Coordinator position will be working with rental property residents with diverse circumstances, age, income, etc. The majority of duties will be carried out in a comfortable, office setting on-site at the property. Hours will vary and could include some evening or weekend work as needed.
Physical Requirements
The Service Coordinator job is not physically demanding and consists only of moderate activity.
